The night has morphed into early morning and at 2:00 a.m. there isn’t a blog post in sight. I’m working on a short story for a contest. Someone reminded me that the deadline is only three days away, and my response was, “Ackkk!!”
It’s a fun story to write — well, it is if you don’t mind a bear encounter or two. I needed some visual inspiration and found it during our summer travels…
This is the setting. For now I’ll leave the plot to your imagination. If I don’t stop tweaking the story soon, it will never be ready to send off by the deadline. And if I take time to write a blog post tonight, I’ll never get to bed. I’m not as young as I used to be, and I need sleep. So, my apologies for slacking off here. Sorry, no time to chat further. I’m writing! (Or I will be after I get a little sleep.)

Carol, sleep and sweat dreams … and when you wake rested and ready to once again face the day … do great work 🙂 Love the photos as always !!
I have been procrastinating lately…..I sit down to write, but there’s laundry, cleaning the house, cards to send, phone calls to make…..it never ends….so I’m with ya sister! Love the pictures, and I can’t wait to read your story….
Lovely pictures! Thanks for sharing.

The way I see it you can slack off any ole time you want. Why? Because, Carol, you rock! Ask anybody.
And what a wonderful setting it is. Wow! No need to apologize, writing is SO important..so is sleep. 🙂
I’m dreadfully slow about responding to your comments, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t appreciated them. I truly was writing, and have finally finished that little item. Now it’s back to a more normal routine (whatever ‘normal’ is). Thanks for your patience and support, everyone!
