Still Saturday: All Things New

“… the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said,
“I am making everything new!” Then he said,
“Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

[Revelation 21:4b-5]

  1. Love this! The pictures are great–what plant is that? Great start to my Sat.

These are both Pieris Japonica shrubs. The top one is the ‘Variegata’, and the bottom ‘Forest Flame’. They thrive here on BC’s south coast, and are evergreen in my garden. The new spring growth is always spectacular red, then it fades to pink, cream and finally to green.

  2. Yes, all things new! I am believing that for myself today. Lovely photos.

  3. Mom and I took a ride today. The flowering trees are stunning. This is my favorite season.

  4. Revelation is probably my favorite Book. Have so many favorites, but part of this one always makes me jump for joy and be filled with rejoicing. And the photos make the rejoicing jump into place right now!

  5. Shanda says:

    Beautiful! Great colors too.

  6. Dea says:

And John the Beloved wrote it down. I am so thankful for his obedience. Beautiful plants. I couldn’t identify them but love their color and glossy leaves.

  7. Deidra Riggs says:

So glad you linked up! So many of my favorite verses this week. And this, of course, is one of them.

  8. Sharon O says:

Write these down and take note…
oh that is what one who listens does, Lord help us to listen more each day.

  9. I sure do admire people who know their plants. 🙂 I just know that I like them.

This is one of my favorite verses, too. I love the newness of spring.

    • Carol says:

I just know the plants I actually have, Sandy. Don’t ask me about any I don’t have! Oh, and guess what? I found a few (very few) periwinkles blooming. Apparently the deer missed some of the buds. 😀

  10. Carol says:

I’m delighted to welcome everyone here, linking from both sites where we’re all reflecting on verses for the weekend. Thank you all for sharing your comments.

  11. This is one of the sweetest promises in Scripture…. Love it!

  12. J.E. Taylor says:

    Absolutely beautiful. Such assurance…

  13. S. Etole says:

“These words are trustworthy and true;” that’s enough to make one rejoice.

  14. joylene says:

It’ll be another month before my plants start sprouting. Your pictures are breathtaking, Carol. Honestly, I see a book in your future, just on these photos. “God’s Treasures” would make a great title. Hint-hint.

I'd love to hear from you!
