That’s fanastic. Where is this? (Forgive my ignorance.)
Hi, Jennie. These hoodoos are in the southwestern corner of BC (Canada), between Cranbrook and Fairmont Hot Springs.
You have an artist’s eye, a photographer’s lens, and a poet’s soul. But best of all, you have the spirit of God in all you write. Thank you for sharing.
And you have a kind and generous heart! Bless you!
Your pictures are awesome! Did you take them?
Yes, thanks, Tiffany. Inevitably, like most of my travel shots, they were taken through the windshield as we travelled the highway home.
My husband is originally from BC and we’ve done alot of traveling up there. Some of the most beautiful country I’ve ever seen and your pictures are spectacular. You always weave the best words and scriptures into your photos. Thank you!
It truly is a beautiful area with great diversity in the landscape. Our route home took us through more of the spectacular scenery — I shared some of those photos last Friday: http://wp.me/phaYw-1ou
Carol, thanks for another great selection of photography and the wonderful words to connect them. I ditto Judith … you truly have all of that. Then you present it as a gift, with ribbons and wrappings, waiting for us to open 🙂
Thanks, Florence… but it’s easy to snap such photos when the scenery is so wonderful. 🙂
I grew up in Southern Alberta with hoodoos in our back yard. Great pictures, great memories!
I haven’t visited the hoodoos near Drumheller for years, but I remember they were spectacular! Giants compared to those pictured here.
We certainly don’t see sights like that in Nova Scotia..Gorgeous, Carol. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Thanks, Laura. You may not have hoodoos in NS, but you certainly have some fabulous scenery there.
Wow, those are kind’a creepy, but amazing. Thanks.
I hadn’t thought of them as ‘creepy’, but they are a strange anomaly in the landscape, that’s for sure.
Majestic words and images, striking! though I had to laugh and say aloud “hoodoos” and “Kootenays”…thanks for the smile:)
I like studying maps on a trip. There are some fascinating names in our country, some of which I can’t even pronounce.
Oh, lovely! Both the photos and your poetry. I have only been to BC once, and it was one of the prettiest places I’ve seen in my life!
Jen, I’m glad you’ve seen some of our lovely sights. Surely it must be time to come back for another visit soon!
These pics are great, I like the ‘into the fog’ one especially. Well I am not into writing so much even though I am posting myself on WordPress – it’s more like typing than anything serious, but I do enjoy your Canadian Landscape pics, and reading your posts. Keep em coming!
Thanks for dropping in. I’m glad you’re enjoying the photos and I hope you’ll return for more visits, even if you don’t consider yourself a writer. I post on various topics although, admittedly, writing is a major focus.
