Loved your post over at Pastor’s Wife Speaks.
I think sometimes we trade the quantity of words for the quality and the message is muttered. We think that if we talk a lot that we are communicating when in actuality it is probably just the opposite.
Lord knows I am bad about this especially because I speak a lot for a living so I tend to fall back on “give me a stage and a mic and I’m good” mentality.
I think we also forget about the power of communication through Silence. Sometimes not speaking, or listening, is the best communication of all.
Great post Ms. Carol!!!!
I’m heading on over..
What a lovely photo, Carol.
Thanks, Joseph and Laura. 🙂
So beautifully said, Carol. I think the lesson is like a reminder to think before speaking. But even more so, to forgive because we all error. And in forgiving we are able to catch ourselves more readily the next time from saying something hurtful.
How true, Joylene! In not forgiving we pretty much put ourselves at odds with the scripture that reminds us not to judge others [Matthew 7:5].
What a beautiful picture……I’m on my way to your other blog!
Thanks for the gorgeous picture and the gentle reminder that our words are powerful.
Hugs~
That photo is absolutely breathtaking. Both what we say, and what we don’t say, bears responsibility on our part.
