Writers Supporting Writers

Two weeks ago a fellow writer, Sandi Rog, on the very day her first novel, The Master’s Wall, was released, was also diagnosed with Stage 4 T-cell Lymphoma, and began immediate chemo. What should have been a day of excitement was instead filled with shock and devastation.

Under her blog’s name, Dare to Dream, is the tagline, “When the world says you can’t, faith says you can.” She also has a link to the following video. I’m sure she knows God is looking out for her, but a little extra encouragement from her writing community can’t hurt. Please pop over to her blog to offer your support and good wishes.

(Update: I gather the video won’t play for some people, but the imbedded link should take you to the same video on YouTube, if you’d like to watch it.)

Good Grief!!! Headed to her blog.

Good news. I have a friend (read sister in Christ) who was similarly diagnosed six or seven years ago. She went through the entire course of treatments three times. Her oncologist shakes his head at her each time she goes back. He tells her this is incurable and then tells her he has failed. Each time she goes back, he fails to find any sign – the least trace – of her cancer. She’ll keep going back til he acknowledges God’s miracle in her life.

God is bigger than any cancer.

Went to Sandi’s blog. How awesome that the treatment for her cancer is also a treatment for her MS. Tweeted and Facebooked her blog to all my friends. The more pray-ers the better in my estimation. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Carol Ann,
I left a comment on Sandi’s blog. You are such a wonderful friend to ask for prayers for Sandi. God Bless you too my friend.
    Love you
    Katt

  4. I saw this on my agent’s blog, and ordered Sandi’s book. Her publisher is personally donating $1 towards a medical fund for each book sold, and they have them on sale at Amazon for only $9.99 right now.

    Thanks for your shout-out, Carol.

Praise God for your caring heart, Carol. Another book for the TBR pile, huh? And in this case, the budget can just stretch on out.

    Happy Thanksgiving.
