People might say she was “just a dog”, but in our family that phrase raises people hackles. To all of us she was so much more. Today our family circle is suddenly smaller by one and we are bereft.
Enjoy romping with all your Sheltie pals from years gone by,
dear old friend.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss.
She was a very pretty girl.
Jamie
My heart goes out to you for your loss. I am so sorry. She looks like such a sweet dog.
My heart aches… can’t imagine how tough this is for H. 😦
I’m not a good person to talk to about losing a pet. She was beautiful and my heart knows how you feel. There aren’t any words to make you feel better right now. Just know that I do know what you are going through.
Love you
Katt
Thanks for your condolences, everyone. I’ve amended my post to clarify that Ebby is co-owned with my daughter. They were both living with us during Ebby’s first five years until DD was married and they both moved away. She was there to welcome DD’s children but never seemed to feel displaced as the “first born”. She had such a sweet personality. We’re thankful to have had a lovely two week visit there just last month and had lots of cuddles with her. Being only “half” owner hasn’t lessened the pain of knowing she won’t be there when we return. I’ll post more pictures of her later.
Losing a pet is tough, but it sounds like Ebby had a wonderful life and leaves your family with lots of fond memories.
So sorry for your loss, Carol.
I’m so sorry to hear of Ebby’s passing away, Heather and Aunt Carol. I know that you will all miss her so much. Losing someone you love, no matter whether that some one has two legs or four takes a piece of your heart. I firmly believe though, that Heaven is shared by all God’s creations and am sure that she sits at His feet, like the good dog she was on earth, relishing all the attention she’s getting. I wish you comfort and peace in the knowledge that Ebby lived a life full of love while she was on earth and that you are blessed to have had each other.
I’m so sorry, Carol. Thinking of you.
So sorry to hear the news.
Thinking of you,
Christi
I appreciate all your thoughtful comments. Thanks so much.
Awww, Carol. What a sweet dog. I know the ache is still there. Hugs.
Thank you, Sandra.
I’m still missing her…. Your post sets the tears going yet again. I knew better than coming back to look, but I couldn’t help it.
I know… I come back here every so often, and to the next post, too, and make it through until the two head shots. They get me every time.
Hi Carol!
I have added my first blog to this site under “skywritingcarla.” Hope you will drop in.
Just read your article about the imobile mobile which was published in the R.V. magazine. This RV newbie who has been driveway camping sure can relate to that! A very good read.
Will miss you at the LWG, but can understand your need to move on.
You have many entries here; hope to catch-up with them all someday.
Regards,
Carla
p.s.
Carol,
So sorry for the loss of your beloved dog.
Hugs,
Carla
