Interesting Process

An interesting aspect of the Olympic games to which I hadn’t previously given much thought…

[Fall 2010 Update:  Sorry… the Olympics Committee have now removed the video from public viewing. However, over 1,600 Olympic videos and 10,000 photos are available on the Vancouver Olympic site. Click here to access.]

Very nice. A great look that will create a new attitude. Not the games per se, but the representation of our identity. I remember Expo Montreal when they were trying to use designs to represent Canada. It was a struggle back then because we weren’t sure who we were. Today I think we recognize our uniqueness. We should be proud to show that uniqueness to the world.

I’m visiting the Hockey Hall Of Fame in Toronto at the end of April, and I’m excited. I’ll have my picture taken beside the Grey Cup. It’ll be a thrill.

My hubby will envy you your visit there… he’s a big Maple Leafs’ fan.

I’ll be interested to see how the Olympics manage to showcase our cultural diversity. We’re such a multi-cultural nation!

I have to admit I’m looking forward to it. I wonder if Torontonians realize how fortunate they are to have access to so many cultural elements that the rest of the country is seldom privy to.

Decades ago we lived in Toronto for three years but were immersed in studies and never did take in much. Then again, I didn’t think that Toronto was really considered to be a great cultural hub. As big cities go I always thought Vancouver had more to offer, but that may be because I’ve lived there much longer and know it better.

I'd love to hear from you!
